I woke up and all I wanted to do was the Spartacus Workout. My husband, Ryan, always does this workout. He actually leads a group of his friends when doing this workout. He also sees his best results with it. He gave me his printed copy of it, which is ten pages long but with just one exercise on each page, that's annoying to do when your new to the workout having to spend your rest time flipping through the pages. So I put it all together on one page to print out.

Since this is a circuit workout and its to hard for me to keep track of the times, I downloaded my newest favorite app for my Ipad, Seconds Pro. It let me set up each exercise for 60 seconds, with a 15 second break in between, then it let me set up the 2 min break in between the sets. In order to save it though I had to buy it but its so worth the 3 bucks. Oh and it lets me play my music in the background of the app too! It also lets you put the workout online to be uploaded onto any device, here is the my timer program for the Spartacus Workout.So I went out to my garage where we have a little gym set up out there. Turned up my music and did the work out for the first time. And oh my god! After the mountain climbers my cardio was already going I was sweating and loving it! I got through the first set and started the second one and couldn't get past exercise 3. I will be doing it again Wednesday and Friday so I'd like to see myself finish the second set.
I love this workout! I am so sore! I can hardly move. I haven't been this sore in a very long time. The whole workout takes about 40 mins and its worth every minute.

Woke up at 7am and the first thing I did was get ready for the gym. I wasn't going to let myself do anything but go to the gym. It worked. Did my mile run in under 10 mins. I haven't been able to do that in a long time! So that made me feel good! Did a few ab workouts and was home a little after 8am. Showered and did a few things around the house and had breakfast all by 830am. So in reality I just cant say... "Oh I don't have time to get to the gym and shower before work".... well Elsa you just proved yourself WRONG! I must say I feel amazing after the gym. Can I do it tomorrow??? I don't see why not!!

20 min cardio on the elliptical. I'm not happy with it. I just couldn't breath today. But I pushed myself to 100 calories burned. Its better than nothing.
Well its Monday so I got on the scale. I have to say I didn't like having to wait. I usually get on every morning to check. But it did help me stick to my calorie counter. I had it set to lose 1 pound this past week to ease back into it. I'll change it back to 2 for this week. I didn't lose an entire full pound but that's okay.

As a way to try and keep myself focused and on track I want to weigh myself every Monday. This way I have something to look forward to. Something that will keep me going. I wont get on the scale until Monday. If I feel that I have a had a good past week then Ill treat myself to something special. Id like it to not always be food, maybe a lazy day, or a trip to a book store, or a mini shopping trip. I'm very excited about this idea. I think it could work. This way I can keep track of it as I go, and in the long run maybe be even more of a motivation than I intend it to be. So here it is my first

Got to sleep in a bit today! 730 instead of 545. Made Ryan and I a healthy breakfast. Then went to the gym. Today I ran a mile, walked uphill for another mile, then ran a half mile! I burned 301 calories today!!! I already reached one of my weekly goals! AWESOME! I feel great since I started my week out this way. LETS KEEP IT UP! I'm excited!

Ran a mile and walked a mile uphill. I also did a butt work out at home. I followed along with a you tube video by Blogilates. I love her videos!! Last time I did this video I was sore for days. Give it a try!!!
I had a good breakfast this morning. Egg beaters with cheese, apple slices (sliced so I can eat around the skin (that parts what im allergic to), greek yogurt (ate half) and orange juice. 424 CAL total. YUM
I use myfitnesspal to keep track of what I eat through out the day. I have the app on my ipad and can scan the bar codes of whatever I am eating. I can also add in what ive done for exercise. I have it set up to lose 2 pounds a week and it gave me 1200 CAL to eat in a day.

I got myself to the gym today! I went before I had to pick up my husband.
Today I ran a Mile. I almost passed out after. Didn't eat much today.

Today is my day off. Its rainy outside and I have no motivation to get to the gym. I don't even know if I can get myself to run when I get there. I need to do cardio today, and start pushing it so I can run more than just a mile. I think a new playlist on my ipod should help.
So lets get motivated!!
